EVENTS & CLASSES
Ever wanted to learn the magic of Photoshop? Want to bring those old photos back to life? We have Photoshop offerings to meet every need.
1. Photoshop classes
2 hours, dedicated instructor. $50 for 1 person, $80 for 2 (each has their own computer in class). 100% hands on class with Photoshop Elements 8. Appointment required, available during most store days/hours. Introductory to Intermediate level class. Basic PC skills required.
2. Do-it-yourself ("DIY") in-store Photoshop
Use one of our PCs with Photoshop Elements 8 here in the store. We'll help with basic Photoshop questions and issues as time allows - basic PSE knowledge required. Fee is: $15/hour (30 minutes minimum), or $30 for half day (4 hours) or $45 for all day (open store hours only).
3. DIY in-store, on your laptop, with your Photoshop
We'll help with basic Photoshop questions and issues as time allows. Fee: FREE with good manners and a smile! Come work on your Photoshop projects in a fun, friendly environment.
4. We do it all for you Photoshop: we can do it all for you at the rate of $1/minute (15 minutes minimum).

Periodically we also have special events and classes in the store.
We've given a couple of Photography Classes run by Maurice Ramirez.
Lars gave a class at Mastick Senior Center on September 22, 2009. The handout is HERE.
Lars also ran a class called "Digital Photography for Busy Women." This is for understanding, organizing and managing your digital photography world.
And we had a class called "MySpace & Facebook for Parents." PDF from that class is HERE.
The Alameda Adult School offers great classes on photography and digital imaging.
We've also heard good things about digital photography classes at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts.
We'll post more class material soon.
We've also on occasion hosted "Diva Girl" birthday parties in the store. These feature professional "before" photos. Then we have a professional hair stylist do "up do's" on all the birthday guests and follow up with professional "after" photos. All participants leave with 5x7's of their before and afters. Available on request.
