CAMERA PHONES

Virtually every mobile phone these days is also a Camera Phone.

While these cameras will never match the quality of a digital SLR or even a good "pop & shoot" they CAN take very good pictures in certain circumstances. The aperture on a camera phone is VERY small. Regardless of the camera's resolution, the aperture size limits the amount of light that gets into the camera. Thus these cameras can take very good pictures outdoors in bright sunlight. But photos taken indoors with camera phones will come out yellow because of the low light.

Some camera phones have flashes on them, but these are generally low power and ineffective.

To get your photos out of your camera phone you can connect it to your computer with a data cable and the proper drivers. Or if your camera phone has an external memory card slot, you can save your photos to the memory card and then use the memory card to move the digital photos around. We can print photos from a memory card, as can any digital photo printing outfit.
